ILI Sports Therapy are pleased to be providing Sports Massage at this years Lough Neagh Triathlon. ILI Sports Therapy is an established sports therapy company operating in Northern Ireland. Our therapists, who include athletes from international sporting backgrounds have wide ranging experience at major sporting events both in Northern Ireland and further afield. » Austria 70.3 Ironman 2010
Just returned from completing the Austria 70.3 Ironman. Easily the best organised and largest event I've ever taken part in, 3000 individuals & nearly 100 relay teams!
An expo exhibition for any triathlete to die for (assuming you had credit!), two helicopters and TOTAL road closure for the 56 miles (including a 12 mile stretch of a motorway!) the whole race was breath taking.
Those of you taking part in Ironman France will have the reassurance that the same company are organising your event. For my two pence worth, you'll not be disappointed.
Times, 1.9km swim; 38.25mins, 90km bike; 3.08hrs, 21km run; 1.50hrs, Total; 5.47mins.
Def worth a club trip sometime. Anyone who wants to see a photo of Chris McCormacks bike, give me a shout.
ps. If anyone's interested, I followed Joe Beer's 12 week middle distance training programme on the 220 triathlon website. Out of the 12 weeks I only missed 4 sessions. It expects you to commit to 10 hours training a week which suited my lifestyle.

On an extremely windy (Hurricane like!!!) day three from the Club entered Liam Ball Sprint up at L'derry. Maeve had a superb result coming 1st in her age group. Ian B fired in another terrrific performance and came 3rd in his age group. Andy P managed to get 7th in his age group. Well done to them all.

» Belfast Marathon 2010 Results
A great day out was had by all attending the 29th Belfast Marathon. Well done to all who competed especially to Wendy as this was her first ever marathon - not an easy race for your first one!!! Great effort all round - well done again. Apologies if I have missed anybody out.

A superb effort by the two Andy's on what was a very hot day, temperatures reached 25 degrees with both men looking for shelter from the sun but to no avail. If you want to challenge yourself then this event will test you to the very limit of your endurance and beyond.
» Lough Neagh Triathlon 2010
The Lough Neagh Triathlon will take place on Saturday 31st July 2010. The event will be on closed roads, in a non-drafting race format, catering for individuals and relay teams of all abilities. This race is part of the Triathlon Ireland national series.
